- Welcome to our new employees, and Happy
Birthday to Senior technician Matt Schmitz!!! Thanks to you, our valued customer, we've
increasingly grown to not only fill two positions, but also
create and fill a third!
First off we'd like to welcome
Ben Nau who's taken on marketing and creative
responsibilities at P&L. Any specific vendor, or print
media marketing questions can be directed to him directly at
ben@pandlmotorsports.com. Ben brings several years
of print media, ad agency, and creative experience to our
team, and we've already been very impressed with his
initiatives and creative vision!
Secondly, we'd like to welcome Mark Sadowski who's
taken on our customer service/showroom manager position.
Mark, a veteran of the Mitsubishi world, brings years of
mechanical and sales experience to the P&L team! Mark
is also fluently bi-lingual in both English and Polish and
is ready assist you! You can email Mark directly at

Finally, we'd like to welcome Tyler Roberts to our team.
Tyler is coming on as an apprentice technician, currently
enrolled and finishing up his education at Lincoln Technical
Institute, Tyler has already shown a great desire to learn,
and we know he'll do great things as he learns hand and hand
with our senior technicians!
Finally, Happy Birthday to Senior technician Matt Schmitz!
Four year veteran of our team, and lead Mitsubishi
technician, Matt has done great things here, and has
recently surprised us with his ability to build and self
tune his 11 second, 400+WHP, E85 powered EVO VIII!

- Mazdaspeed 3/6, Nissan G35/305Z Protuning,
and One lap of America updates!!! We'd like to congratulate Tony Weisenhahn for his
outstanding performance so far in the One Lap. Overall
he's ranked third in a field of 63 cars, with position 1 and
2 occupied by a Prepped Nissan GT-R, and a prepped Porsche
996!
Mr. Weisenhahn is driving a Turn in Concept prepared/P&L
Motorsports tuned WRX with a P&L Motorsports GT30R turbo
kit!
We have also begun working tuning Mazdaspeed 3/6 AccessPorts,
as well as working with Nissan's G35/350Z platforms!
We are very excited to be able to offer our internationally
renown tuning services to these fine marquees!

- P&L to start doing limited Open Source tuning! We understand the difficulties our customers are
facing with the economy. We've had several customers
continuously ask about when we'd start working with
alternative tuning tools for the Subaru and Mitsubishi
vehicles.
Our biggest issue has always been in the maturity of the
tools to be able to offer advanced and time effective tuning
techniques, allowing for proper calibration of key elements
like intake calibration. Up to this point, in our
opinion, the only PROPER way of working with something like
intake calibration has been to do its tuning in real time.
The Cobb Tuning Access Port has always allowed us to do
that, but with its price tag (even if it is the least
expensive of all the professional tuning options), it has
forced consumers to reconsider their fiscal priorities.
So, to help alleviate the financial burden P&L Motorsports
will be doing Open Source tuning (direct ECU re-flashing
that doesn't need hardware to be purchased separately) for
Subaru and Mitsubishi vehicles that use either stock
intakes, or a very limited amount of aftermarket intakes.
For Subaru, we'll work with Cobb, SPT, stock and P&L's line
of HighFLO intakes. For Mitsubishi, we'll work with
the stock intake/airbox.
Tuning will still be charged at normal hourly rate, and we
encourage you to call with any questions, taking advantage
of this fiscally conservative opportunity.

Nationals Champion! Another
P&L tuned customer takes top honors this year at the SCCA
Nationals. Colin Fiedler dominated the field
decisively on September 17th with his STU class win in the
SCCA Nationals Championship! P&L is proud to have been
responsible for the tuning of this champion winning team!

Respective drivers Paul Szuba and James Elterman did a

cars are near perfect dial in, we're expecting continuously
impressive performances!

- P&L built, Takata Time Attack car for
download in Forza Motorsports 2 for XBox 360! Now this is cool! For some back story, the
Takata Time Attack car was conceived as a contest within the
Forza community. As a result, the developers,
including Microsoft, have released the P&L built car as a
limited production download for the video game. The
full Forza coverage can be found [here].
Here is a note from James for those enthusiasts who'd like a
copy of the car for themselves!
"In addition to our real world debut, the Takata Impreza
has also made it's debut in the virtual racing world of
Forza Motorsport 2 for the Xbox 360. We have partnered with
Microsoft and Turn 10, the publishers of Forza Motorsport,
to celebrate the debut of the Takata Impreza with various
contests and promotions.
If you have a copy of Forza Motorsport 2 for the Xbox 360,

- Great showing by P&L's Paul Szuba in his Time
Attack car! Ever the shining example of human tenacity, Paul
piloted his handicap modified 2006 STI Time Attack car to
some impressive results. Paul held second place
overall right behind James Elterman in the P&L built Takata
Time Attack car, only falling behind by less then four
tenths of a second at the very last lap!
Congratulations and well respects go out to Paul for his
outstanding performance!

- Congratulations to James Elterman and the
Takata Time Attack car! Over several months, P&L Motorsports was entrusted
with building and tuning the Takata Time Attack car, piloted
by James Elterman. On it's debut showing, the Takata
Time Attack car dominated on it's first time out,
annihalating the competition by almost 3 seconds!

going to get front page coverage in a very prominent
magazine. We had photo crews here doing pictures over
the last several weeks and we can't wait to see how it all
turns out.

- 2008 Midwest Subaru Shootout results! P&L Motorsports cars and customers completely
dominated all day long in their respective classes!
The average P&L trap speed was 115 MPH.
Our own 2006 STI Time
Attack car, piloted by Paul Szuba, put out an IMPRESSIVE
11.3 with what is considered a "endurance" tune,
Congratulations to our own Ty Curtin for his 1st place
winning run in the stock turbo 2.1L+ class with his decisive
win of 12.45 at 109MPH!
Other special congratulations go
out to our customers who totally met or exceeded their
expectations consistently throughout the day!
Dan, T.J., Anthony, Dustin, Gilbert, and especially Eddie
(Fast Eddie!) Torres with his SPECTACULAR 11.2 run!
