When tearing down a Subaru EJ engine there is a good chance that the allen head bolt securing the stock cam pulley’s may get rounded in the process. When this happens, the next step is something extreme like drilling out the bolt head, using an EZ-Out or welding a nut onto the bolt so you have something decent to grip for removal. Let’s face it – all of those options suck. The bottom line is this – if you’re rebuilding a Subaru engine then you’re going to want these bolts!
